Yes, it’s real!Ģ – a good image draws in any crowd. Have you heard of it? No, maybe you have heard of Dunder Mifflin? Oh, good! Well, it is based on a real place. Instead, giving the background a lively punch can do a couple things.ġ – it creates a conversation starter. I’m not saying that Padlet stock photos are bad – they always seem a little bland and cliché. I believe I went a little off script, my apologies. The answer is passion for both the material and the students as people! When I am standing in front of a group of young people sharing information I love, they can’t help but to love it too! My energy is intoxicating. I am often asked what enables me to connect so strongly with my students. Why? When you love something, you have a clear and obvious passion for it, right? Publishing work is an important last step because it communicates that the work they just put so much effort into has value beyond just getting a grade. Showcase Work: Whether during remote learning, or in the classroom, Padlet is my favorite tool to use for students to publish their finished work.If students are working on writing a thesis, they can all post drafts of their writing and give each other feedback. Or, if we are going to be studying how geography impacts human settlement, I might have students post a picture of a place in the world where they would choose to build a village, and then explain why. If, for example, students are going to be learning about a historical controversy, I might have students create a post about what controversies they already know about.
